People often ask us what kind of gains are possible of the IHI turbo vs the Garrett 1446.
We had this lovely 145PS 595 come and see us the other week. So we thought we’d show you an overlay of a stock 180 Comp vs this, just to illustrate the difference.
The tuned IHI (blue lines) makes stacks more power and torque than the 180 Comp (pink lines) right up to 4750RPM. From that point onwards it’s pretty much level. The Comp makes a couple more hp at 5500RPM but it's barely a difference.
In a rolling race or on a B road, this car could be considerably quicker than its stablemate, and for anyone wondering if it’s worth tuning an IHI equipped car, I think it's pretty clear.

Some great customer feedback here, showing what a noticeable difference we can make with our tuning services here at Bluespark.
This Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCI came to see us, after being plagued with a speed limiter set from stock. We connected to the ECU, made some quick adjustments, and now has full access to its capabilities.
Not only has the speed limiter been removed, but we then installed our Bluespark Pro tuning box, giving the customer a much punchier feel. We took it from 101hp at stock up to 126hp with the box, and lifted torque from 310Nm up to 350Nm, really delivering those gains across the rev range and exactly where the customer needs them.
As the customer states, we provided solutions to his specific needs. There are further enhancements we can make on these, including our more advanced boxes or remapping services, providing even more performance than this. For now, the customer is more than happy with what it’s producing.

In this latest dyno test we had this awesome 2021 Toyota Hilux 2.8 D-4D Invincible X in for tuning and testing. After a short installation of our specialised Bluespark Pro + Boost I-ART chip tuning box, we loaded it on the rollers and got to work.
This particular engine uses the i-ART system, which makes it unique in many ways. By featuring pressure feedback from each fuel injector instead of using a traditional single pressure sensor in the common rail, i-ART makes it possible to continuously monitor and adapt fuel injection per combustion in each of the four cylinders.
Each injector has a small computer on top, which monitors injection pressure. Using this information, the self-adapting i-ART system makes sure that the ideal amount of fuel is injected during each combustion cycle.
The combination of this gives the driver an engine with improved fuel economy, considerably lower emissions and high performance output as well as a powerful sound character. Our boxes have been designed to

We recently had this Range Rover Evoque eD4 visit us here at Bluespark HQ. The customer was experiencing several issues with their AdBlue system, including the dreaded AdBlue warning ‘no restarts in 650 miles’ on the dashboard.
Rather than face a bill of thousands from a main dealer, the customer opted to go for one of our AdBlue solutions, eliminating the problem.
At the same time we performed a stage 1 remap after we connected to the ECU using our Autotuner system. The customer was able to drive away with the knowledge that there were no more AdBlue issues, and that the vehicle now performs so much better than at stock.

The Honda Civic Type R is a nameplate that has become synonymous with performance, agility, and driving purity. Evolving from the humble Civic, Honda’s most popular compact car, the Type R version has garnered a cult-like following of enthusiasts around the world. It’s become one of the most extensively dyno tested vehicles we’ve developed here at Bluespark, so we always know how well they respond to our boxes.
Delving into the engine bay of the FK8, we know it boasts the 2.0L VTEC turbocharged engine, with power quoted at 320hp and 400Nm of torque. Thanks to its adaptive damper system and limited-slip differential, the FK8 manages to strike a perfect balance between daily usability and track-day prowess. Whether it's tight corners or open stretches of tarmac, the Type R shines through with its nimble handling and explosive acceleration.
These awesome hot-hatches are always great to work with and it’s always amazing to see them transform after a bit of tweaking. In this latest tuning and

The Alfa Romeo Giulia has been turning heads and setting hearts racing since its introduction. As a symphony of design, performance, and passion, the Giulia isn't just a car—it's a testament to Alfa Romeo's commitment to automotive excellence, something we know all too well here at Bluespark, as it’s never a dull moment when we tune these.
In this latest tuning and dyno testing, we take this Giulia 2.0 Turbo and custom tune it, adjusting the software with our remapping tools and fine tuning the results with the rolling road dyno testing. The result… Some pretty impressive performance gains!!
Firstly, we take the Giulia at a completely stock level, no level of tune applied. We get it strapped up on to the rollers, and take it for the first set of tests to establish what the factory mapping is producing. No big surprises with this one, a pretty standard stock dyno graph can be seen below, as power results are showing pretty close to the mark at 208hp. Torque showing slightly higher than what

AdBlue, a critical component in modern diesel engines, plays a pivotal role in reducing emissions. But what happens when this seemingly flawless technology throws a curveball in the form of technical issues?
Unfortunately it's not always smooth sailing in the realm of AdBlue, and we are seeing more and more issues arise. It seems that the system in which helps keep the AdBlue in check, is prone to fail. The system consists of several components, including the AdBlue tank, injectors, catalyst, and the control unit.
Now any one of those components can require repair. This can be down to cracked AdBlue tanks causing leaks, faulty or worn injectors or an error within the control unit itself. The AdBlue system does not affect the running or performance of the engine itself, it purely exists for emissions control reasons. However, due to the strict emission regulations, most manufacturers have warning procedures if one of these faults occurs. As an example, if you take a leaking tank, causing

Rumbling through the heart of many motor enthusiasts is the unmistakable growl of the Abarth 595 COMPETIZIONE, a symbol of vigorous spirit and impeccable engineering in the compact sports car domain, as we know very well here at Bluespark HQ, having tuned hundreds of these now.
These awesome, plucky little hot-hatches are always good fun to work with, and it’s always amazing to see them transform after a bit of tweaking. In this latest tuning and dyno testing, we take this 1.4 T-Jet Competizione and custom tune it, adjusting the software with our remapping tools and fine tuning the results with the rolling road dyno testing.

We get it strapped up on to the rollers, and take it for the first set of tests to establish what the factory mapping is producing. For our latest dyno test we had this 2022 Ford Transit Custom 300 2.0 130hp in for an install and testing. We installed our Pro + Boost chip tuning box and loaded it on to the rollers…
This 2022 Transit Custom uses the SID212 ECU, which all Ford Transits have used since late 2019 onwards. This ECU can’t currently be remapped due to security protection within the ECU’s software.
This customer was looking for a warranty friendly solution, so our chip tuning box is an ideal alternative in this case. This Transit has 130hp & 385Nm as stock. Ford produce higher performance variants of the same Transit Custom, with the exact same engine. For example the 170hp & 405Nm model.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque.
Peak power was increased, we were able to lift it from 130hp at stock, up to 169hp with our box. Taking a look at the dyno graph you can see how the curve changes, bringing that power in right down from
