In this latest dyno test we had this awesome 2021 Toyota Hilux 2.8 D-4D Invincible X in for tuning and testing. After a short installation of our specialised Bluespark Pro + Boost I-ART chip tuning box, we loaded it on the rollers and got to work.
This particular engine uses the i-ART system, which makes it unique in many ways. By featuring pressure feedback from each fuel injector instead of using a traditional single pressure sensor in the common rail, i-ART makes it possible to continuously monitor and adapt fuel injection per combustion in each of the four cylinders.
Each injector has a small computer on top, which monitors injection pressure. Using this information, the self-adapting i-ART system makes sure that the ideal amount of fuel is injected during each combustion cycle.
The combination of this gives the driver an engine with improved fuel economy, considerably lower emissions and high performance output as well as a powerful sound character. Our boxes have been designed to

We recently had this Range Rover Evoque eD4 visit us here at Bluespark HQ. The customer was experiencing several issues with their AdBlue system, including the dreaded AdBlue warning ‘no restarts in 650 miles’ on the dashboard.
Rather than face a bill of thousands from a main dealer, the customer opted to go for one of our AdBlue solutions, eliminating the problem.
At the same time we performed a stage 1 remap after we connected to the ECU using our Autotuner system. The customer was able to drive away with the knowledge that there were no more AdBlue issues, and that the vehicle now performs so much better than at stock.

The Honda Civic Type R is a nameplate that has become synonymous with performance, agility, and driving purity. Evolving from the humble Civic, Honda’s most popular compact car, the Type R version has garnered a cult-like following of enthusiasts around the world. It’s become one of the most extensively dyno tested vehicles we’ve developed here at Bluespark, so we always know how well they respond to our boxes.
Delving into the engine bay of the FK8, we know it boasts the 2.0L VTEC turbocharged engine, with power quoted at 320hp and 400Nm of torque. Thanks to its adaptive damper system and limited-slip differential, the FK8 manages to strike a perfect balance between daily usability and track-day prowess. Whether it's tight corners or open stretches of tarmac, the Type R shines through with its nimble handling and explosive acceleration.
These awesome hot-hatches are always great to work with and it’s always amazing to see them transform after a bit of tweaking. In this latest tuning and

AdBlue, a critical component in modern diesel engines, plays a pivotal role in reducing emissions. But what happens when this seemingly flawless technology throws a curveball in the form of technical issues?
Unfortunately it's not always smooth sailing in the realm of AdBlue, and we are seeing more and more issues arise. It seems that the system in which helps keep the AdBlue in check, is prone to fail. The system consists of several components, including the AdBlue tank, injectors, catalyst, and the control unit.
Now any one of those components can require repair. This can be down to cracked AdBlue tanks causing leaks, faulty or worn injectors or an error within the control unit itself. The AdBlue system does not affect the running or performance of the engine itself, it purely exists for emissions control reasons. However, due to the strict emission regulations, most manufacturers have warning procedures if one of these faults occurs. As an example, if you take a leaking tank, causing

Rumbling through the heart of many motor enthusiasts is the unmistakable growl of the Abarth 595 COMPETIZIONE, a symbol of vigorous spirit and impeccable engineering in the compact sports car domain, as we know very well here at Bluespark HQ, having tuned hundreds of these now.
These awesome, plucky little hot-hatches are always good fun to work with, and it’s always amazing to see them transform after a bit of tweaking. In this latest tuning and dyno testing, we take this 1.4 T-Jet Competizione and custom tune it, adjusting the software with our remapping tools and fine tuning the results with the rolling road dyno testing.
Firstly, we take the 595 at a completely stock level, no level of tune applied. We get it strapped up on to the rollers, and take it for the first set of tests to establish what the factory mapping is producing. No big surprises with this one, a pretty standard stock dyno graph can be seen below as power results are showing pretty bang on the mark at 181hp. Torque showing

Fantastic dyno day with 'kermitthecooper' which is this awesome MINI John Cooper Works F56 2020. We installed our 3 Channel Pro Petrol chip tuning box and loaded it on to the rollers for its rolling road dyno tune…
Mini JCW, an acronym for Mini John Cooper Works, is more than just a car; it's an embodiment of speed, style, and sophistication. When we say 'Mini,' you might be picturing a compact, city-friendly car. Add 'JCW' to it, and you're visualizing a monster hiding in a compact body, ready to unleash its power on the road. Hailing from a lineage of innovation and classic British design. Mini JCW models are a testament to the seamless marriage of history and future, performance, and elegance.
Having spent considerable time with the Mini JCW F56 previously, it's always great to have another up on the dyno, as we already know we can generate some pretty decent numbers. The owner of this one had some really unique styling and we're really interested to keep following his journey and see

Fantastic dyno day with this BMW 128ti. We soon had our 3 Channel Pro Petrol chip tuning box installed and it was up on the rollers for its rolling road dyno tune...
The 128ti sits comfortably in the hot-hatch society, with solid stock performance figures and some unique styling. Using the B48 engine, we already know the capabilities and what power can be unlocked from these, and we can really delve into its true potential, utilising any reserved power.
BMW switched things up for the 128ti, moving from their traditional rear-wheel drivetrain to their first front-wheel drive hot hatch. Powered by that B48 engine, BMW claim stock figures of 265hp with 400Nm coming from the 2.0 turbocharged petrol engine.
So a pretty unique package amongst BMWs usual lineup. However, we can definitely take things up a notch. Adding a decent amount of power and torque, and really transforming how those gains are applied across the rev range, taking into account that front-wheel drive system, and applying

This returning customer has had a few boxes with us now. He had just swapped out his old car and just taken ownership of this awesome Ford Focus ST 2.3 ECOBOOST. We soon had it fitted with our Bluespark 3 Channel Pro Petrol SENT chip tuning box and got it up on the dyno for testing.
The stock run provides us with some pretty accurate torque claims from Ford, as it wasn't too far off of the stock figure claims from them, for this 2019 Ford Focus ST 2.3.
You can see it ran 428Nm on the stock run, with Ford claiming this to be 420Nm, so it's great to see some consistency from their claims here.
Power on the other hand, was slightly less from what Ford claim. You can see it ran 258hp at stock, with them claiming it should be 280hp. A good example here of how true power figures can differ to what the manufacturer claim once properly dyno tested.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque.

More gains being made on our four-wheel drive dyno, this time from this Volkswagen Golf GTD TDI 2.0 181bhp.
Putting our new dyno to good use and throwing down some pretty decent results once once fitted with our Bluespark Pro + Boost chip tuning box.
The stock run provides us with some pretty accurate claims from VW, as it was bang on the stock figure claims from them, for this 2016 Golf GTD TDI 2.0.
You can see it ran 181hp with 379Nm of torque. VW claim this to be 181hp with 380Nm at stock, so it's great to see some consistency from their claims here.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque.
Low down torque with our unit is greatly improved. At stock the engine produced 379Nm and now 471Nm with the box installed, bringing those gains in a lot sooner than before.
Peak power was also increased. The engine produced 181hp from stock and now 225hp with the box installed, showing consistency through the rev range.
