In our latest dyno test we had this awesome plucky little Hyundai i10 in for tuning and testing. After quick installation of our Pro Petrol chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.

The i10 T-GDi N Line takes inspiration from Hyundai’s N performance division, featuring that aggressive styling with some impressive performance from the 1.0 engine. It’s not quite hot hatch territory, but here at Bluespark we always like to get that bit extra, seeing what the engine can really provide.

Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a decent increase in power and torque, really transforming how the i10 feels to drive.

Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 100hp at stock, up to 141hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph below you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, bringing that extra power in as soon as possible, whilst holding it for as long as possible throughout the rev range.

Torque also saw some great improvements. At stock the engine produced 180Nm and now 234Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), it’s a similar story, where you can really see where we have applied those gains, allowing those torque improvements to be applied through the revs. At around 2500rpm you can really see that dip on the stock run, which is now fully ironed out and much more consistent.
