In our latest dyno test we have this awesome 2019 Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 R-Dynamic in for tuning and testing. Quoted stock figures show 340ps with 450Nm of torque powered by that 3.0 supercharged V6, so we know we’ve got a pretty good base to work from. After an installation of our Pro Petrol chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how it feels to drive.
Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 341hp at stock, up to 397hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph below you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, lifting every part of the rev range, right up to that top end where we provide that additional +56hp at its peak, really transforming how it feels out on the road.
Torque also saw some impressive improvements. At stock the engine produced 451Nm and now 484Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains. We provide a much more consistent curve, delivering those increases exactly where it’s needed, adding that +33Nm at its peak.
