We were recently visited by this awesome VW Amarok 3.0 V6. The customer had purchased a competitors tuning box, however they had a feeling it wasn’t quite delivering their quoted gains. Connecting only at the fuel rail, with no boost connection at all, we also saw its limitations.
We soon had it strapped up on the rollers to put it to the test. The dyno test results showed power gains of only 7hp and 21Nm of torque. You can imagine the customer was not impressed in slightest, given that this package of tuning box and pedal box cost over £760.
We therefore removed this hardware and installed our specifically designed Pro + Boost SENT tuning box, partnered with our pedal box instead.
The dyno results from this:
POWER 240>>>270hp
TORQUE 625Nm>>>704Nm
Now that’s more like it! For a significantly lower price, the customer now gets +30hp with +79Nm of torque, delivered exactly where its needed across the rev range, and giving a huge improvement to how the vehicle feels to drive. The pedal box adding better throttle response and giving additional features like the locking security mode, plus lots more.
