In our latest dyno test we have this 2020 F60 MINI Countryman JCW ALL4 in for tuning and testing. After quick installation of our 3 Channel Pro Petrol chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.

This car sharing the same underpinnings as the M135ix that we have already seen a lot of on this channel, we know this variant of the B48 is very capable. Our linked, braked 4wd dyno suited perfectly here for MINI’s All-wheel drive ALL4 system.

Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how the Countryman feels to drive.

Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 306hp at stock, up to 350hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph below you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, bringing that extra power in as soon as possible, whilst holding it for as long as possible throughout the rev range.

Torque also saw some great improvements. At stock the engine produced 476Nm and now 542Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains, allowing those torque improvements to be applied through the revs, giving that increase exactly where it’s needed. Pay attention to the 2200rpm mark where you can see that stock curve level out, and our tuned curve continue to increase. Torque is deliberately limited at low RPM and brought in very smoothly, limiting instantaneous torque spikes on the drivetrain.
