In our latest dyno test we have this incredible 2023 INEOS Grenadier Station Wagon 3.0 B57 in for tuning and testing. After an installation of our specifically designed Pro + Boost SENT chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.
These relatively new SUVs are a pleasure to work with. Coming out of the UK, they are an innovative switch up on the likes of a Defender or G-Wagon. This model in particular uses the 3.0 BMW B57 engine, which we have tuned many times and can generate some pretty impressive performance gains. So tuning potential is really quite awesome, especially on something as unique as this.
It’s also worth mentioning that these vehicles currently have a locked ECU with no way to read or write the ECU data. This means that while traditional remapping is impossible, our tuning box can give owners the opportunity to make fantastic gains without requiring a traditional ECU flash. Not only that, but as this is a brand-new vehicle, it can remain totally warranty friendly as it has the added benefit of being traceless once removed.

Keep an eye out, as we’ll also have its 3.0 BMW B58 petrol brother in for tuning as well...
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how it feels to drive.
Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 253hp at stock, up to 302hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph below you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, bringing that extra power in as soon as possible, whilst holding it for as long as possible throughout the rev range. We lift that entire mid-section, right up that additional +49hp at its peak, really transforming how it feels out on the road.

Torque also saw some impressive improvements. At stock the engine produced 563Nm and now 661Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains. Again looking across that whole portion of the mid-range, you can really see exactly where its lifted, adding the +98Nm extra at its peak, delivering that increase exactly where it’s needed.
