Ford Transit Custom (2024) 2.0 EcoBlue Dyno Test - 136hp Performance Tuning

For our latest dyno test we have this brand new, late 2024 registered Ford Transit Custom 2.0 EcoBlue 136hp in for tuning and testing. After quick installation of our Pro + Boost chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.

Now there has been a recent 'unlock' for the ECU used in these Transits. But with many years of warranty left, this customer opted for our module rather than a remap, allowing them to get the most out of the engine, without jeopardizing any warranty cover. Not only that, but they also wanted the option to be able to take the module with them for reprogramming, once they change vehicle in the future.

Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how the Transit feels to drive.

Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 132hp at stock, up to 163hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph below you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, bringing that extra power in as soon as possible, whilst holding it for as long as possible throughout the rev range. Pay attention to that mid-section from around 2500rpm onwards, where you can really see that noticeable difference, whilst adding that +31hp at its peak, really transforming how it feels out on the road.

Torque also saw some great improvements. At stock the engine produced 351Nm and now 397Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains. We show real consistency by lifting every part of the rev range, up to +46Nm extra at its peak. But if look in certain parts of the revs, like just after 3000rpm for example, we raise it by around 60Nm-65Nm, showing that we are delivering those increases exactly where it’s needed.
