Tuning solutions for your ECU locked BMW M3
We recently had the pleasure of tuning and dyno testing this incredible 2021 BMW G80 M3 Comp. It goes without saying that it’s always great fun when we have a true ‘M’ car up on the rollers. As you can see, this was no different, as the G80 definitely has super unique styling.
As you’ll have seen from our recent posts, the recurring issue that all 2021+ BMW drivers face, is the tuning limitations due to the locked ECU. This G80 M3 is no different and currently has no way to read or write the ECU data. This means that while traditional remapping is impossible, our tuning module offers the perfect solution here, providing fantastic gains without requiring a traditional ECU flash.
Let’s see how that dyno test went:
POWER 549hp >>> 663hp
TORQUE 763Nm >>> 902NmWe made some ever so slight adjustments to the mapping in our 3 Channel Pro Petrol Module, along with some upgraded panel filters the customer wanted us to fit, and the results speak for themselves.

In our latest dyno test we have this 2021 G30 BMW M550i xDrive 4.4 V8 in for tuning and testing. Having spent considerable time with the N63 engine previously, we already know the awesome tuning potential it holds. Generating some pretty impressive numbers from stock, we could already predict some high performance figures from the test. So it was a quick installation of our 3 Channel Pro Petrol chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.
It’s also worth mentioning that these vehicles currently have a locked ECU with no way to read or write the ECU data. This means that while traditional remapping is impossible, our tuning box can give owners the opportunity to make fantastic gains without requiring a traditional ECU flash. This has the added benefit of being traceless once removed for warranty purposes.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how it feels

In our latest dyno test we have this 2020 G20 BMW 330e in for tuning and testing. We run two separate tests here, one with our 3 Channel Pro Petrol chip tuning box and the other coming from an ECU remap. The result… Some pretty awesome performance gains…
We have featured many of our hybrid tuning solutions on this channel and this G20 330e doesn’t stray too far from what we’ve already showcased. The 111bhp electric motor is paired with very capable B48 engine, which we have already seen a lot of in previous tests, so we already know the tuning potential from this set up. However, as we find most often, the engine comes de-tuned as standard from stock, not giving you that full potential of its power. We can soon have that fixed, and show you what it’s really capable of…
Now as this is an early 2020 manufactured G20, it doesn’t in fact have a locked ECU, unlike many that have recently featured on this channel, so we have all tuning options available to us here. This is a good reason as to

These relatively new SUVs are a pleasure to work with. Coming out of the UK, they are an innovative switch up on the likes of a Defender or G-Wagon. This model in particular uses the 3.0 BMW B57 engine, which we have tuned many times and can generate some pretty impressive performance gains. So tuning potential is really quite awesome, especially on something as unique as this.
