How Does a Tuning Box Work?
Modern vehicles rely on dozens of sensors that feed information to the ECU. These sensors monitor key engine parameters such as:
- fuel rail pressure
- boost pressure
- airflow
- throttle position
- engine temperature
A tuning box intercepts signals from these sensors and adjusts them slightly before they reach the ECU.

Audi 8Y.5 RS3 Tuning Box Dyno
The Audi RS3 has a locked ECU which means that traditional ECU remapping is not possible. A Bluespark tuning box can still be used on vehicles with a locked ECU. The 3 channel tuning box can be installed in less than 20 minutes and provides awesome results. The video below shows our dyno testing.

How to Install a Tuning Box

Step 2 – Connect the Wiring Harness
Disconnect the factory sensor connector and attach the tuning box harness between the sensor and the original connector.
