Abarth 695 Rivale 180PS - Dyno Test and Tuning.

We are big fans of the Abarth brand here at Bluespark, and the Abarth 595 and 695 are some of the most popular models that customers order for.

We had the pleasure of a visit from a customer with this gorgeous 695 Rivale and spent the day datalogging the car, dyno testing and improving performance.

We strapped the car to our dyno for a couple of runs as standard. It made 182.7hp Stock, which is understandable as this car was running an Orra intake and 99RON fuel.

As you can see, power is strong through the rev range, but deliberately limited to basically a flat line from 4600 RPM onwards.

We fitted our 3 channel Abarth tuning system and started to make some modifications. We have to be extremely careful with this model not to give too much of a boost increase too early in the rev range.

The 3 channel box helps enormously to do this, giving us fine control of boost pressure increase based upon RPM right through the rev range.

After spending most of the afternoon on tweaking the tune file, and loads of back to back dyno runs we had results that we were very happy with:

With peak power of 217.5hp (220.5PS) and great gains throughout the rev range the character of this car is changed significantly.

The final results are very close to those offered by many flash tunes, but with the advantage that our unit can be tracelessly removed by the user.
